Arriving in London

These past two days have been tiring to say the least; but from the little taste of London that I got today, I wouldn't want it any other way. We arrived in London this morning at 6:50 a.m. GMT. Most of us had little sleep from the transatlantic flight (and the previous connecting flights), and we were waning all day today.

We had a bit of a shortened day today spending most of our time at St. Paul's Cathedral. We had a tour of the cathedral, focusing on the artistic and mathematical influences that went into the ridiculously magnificent marvel of architecture that it was. I spent a bit of time getting some photos of London from the upper galleries along the exterior of the cathedral's dome, and of course a few shots of the cathedral itself. After that, we spent a bit of time just walking around London, planning out later activities.

By the time we got back from the London Underground subway near our hotel, a lot of us were stumbling and fading in and out of livelihood, but I think we're really over the worst bit of travel (flights and jet lag). I look forward to what the rest of London has for us, and our German and Italian cities later.

Obligatory Big Ben photo, of course
